He is also an author, lecturer, and columnist, having authored or co-authored 11 other technical books, numerous magazine articles, and online columns. He's also the former Metadata Program Manager for the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Daconta has more than 25 years of development experience and has developed large-scale IT systems for an array of industries. He invented two patented technologies and is currently developing the Axon Cloud Channel, Technical Cloud Broker with a team of developers at InCadence Strategic Solutions, Inc. He holds a master's degree in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from New York University. Behavioral therapies are a bit more popularized and seductive these days due to their measurability and trainability. Mila Todorov, a twenty-seven year old engineer has high hopes of being selected to be on the ship which will begin colonizing the planet Mars. I read this for nostalgia sake, and it remains a fun read. It is not only a story of love, dreams, and perseverance, but also a gritty story of Guatemalan culture and society.
If you have any interest in Latino gay culture outside of the United States, I would highly recommend this book to you.
