If immersion is important to you, the lessons Venger teaches are highly valuable.
I've read his PDF three times and sat with it for a couple months before writing this review. D. WOW is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Paul Adcock's "Jungle King Secrets." Do not dismiss this book as something for sex-crazed people. Things like propulsion systems, sustainable sources for food,water and the shelters needed to populate a planet added to the story and never felt like an info dump.
I loved how the determined and often over confident Mila gets flustered in the presence of her idol, Jancey. (And FYI, you'll be hard pressed to find any glaring boo-boos in this book) The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with clearly defined alternating his and her perspectives from the two protagonists, handsome mercenary Commander Gregor Thatcher and beautiful former freighter pilot and hopeful new mercenary, Valerian Calendula. Pick up his book if
