From lighting techniques, to what not to wear, to Flash Media Server, this book has it all. love it. The book succeeds by being both beautifully drawn and chock full of facts. The size of the atlas pages were easy to read, but the spine was much thicker than the spiral-bound maps (that somehow always manage to get stuck somewhere down between my seatbelt buckle and the console). This book helped us in so many ways.. The authors' (or perhaps the translator's) technical knowledge occasionally appears a little thin, resulting in a few baffling passages, but their knowledge of Welles' life in film, both at the studios and as one of the first truly independent filmmakers, is vast, their research deep, and their analysis of his expressive use of image and sound excellent. This book was poorly executed and lacked clarity. You can head down the backroads and not worry about getting lost..
